What Is The Canadian Experience Class Program?

There is a new system for people who apply to this program, and it’s called Express Entry.

The federal skill trade program is for people who would like to become permanent resident, based on being qualified in a skill trade.

There are certain requirements to this program and to be eligible you must, plan to live outside of the province of Quebec; reason being is that Quebec select their own skilled worker, so if you want to apply to Quebec, you must do so separately.

You must meet the required levels of speaking English or French, since these are Canada’s two languages, either one is required. Note: you must possessed the ability to (speak, write, read, and listen)

Canada has major plans to welcome up to 15,000 permanent residents under the Canadian Experience Class (CEC).

The Canada experienced class allows people who meet certain requirements including the minimum language requirement and have at least one year of skilled work experience in Canada, they are allowed to make a transition to a permanent resident.

These include international students’ graduates and foreign nationals, who are working legally in Canada on a temporary basis. The number of people coming to Canada under this class has grown since 2009.

You can have up to two employees committed to employing you for at least one year of continuous full-time work, this includes a total of at least 30 hours per week.

In Canada, provinces and territories issue certificates for people who are qualified in skilled trades. In order for you to get this certificate the provincial and territorial trade’s authority will assess your training skills and trade experience to decide if you will be eligible to write an exam to be certified.

Some of the skilled trade major and minor groups are: industrial, electrical and construction trades (major group 72), chefs and cooks (minor group 632, butcher and bakers minor group 633).

You must show that your experience meets the description in the national occupational classification, if you are unable to show this, then your application will not be accepted.

One of the major requirements you will have to meet is admissibility to Canada, if you are deemed inadmissible to Canada, then you will likely to be turn down.

One of the purpose of the Canadian Experience Class, is to allow you who have work experience in Canada to become a permanent resident

Note: that as of January 1, 2015 potential candidates who are interested in applying to the Canadian Experience Class, must go through the express entry system.

If you are a Canadian class applicant, you may be to work in Canada, while your application is being processed; this only applies if you have a valid working permit.

You can be hired by an employer, if you are a foreign skilled worker, and you meet all the labour needs. This happens when they are empty positions, that are needed to be filled and they are unable to find Canadian and permanent residents to fill them.

Usually Canadian experience skilled workers are of value to the Canadian economic.

You must apply within three years of obtaining your skilled worker experience

Your work experience may be paid in full or equally valued to hour of a part-time.

If you are available under the Canadian Experience Class program, you must submit your profile to the express entry.

You must have acquired your work experience, with the proper study authorization.

Applying under this class, will be beneficial to your spouse /common law partner, and children if applicable, as they may be able to accompany you and obtain status as well.

You must remember that any changes to your application, must be updated as soon as possible, because by not doing so can have an effect on your status, or may lead to delays on your application.
