Express Entry: Can You Bring Your Family?

Express Entry: Can You Bring Your Family?

In Canada we are committed to the reunification of families and we take pride in making this possible at every opportunity that we can. Our goal is to be able to keep as many families as we can together throughout all of the immigration processes.

If you are coming to Canada through the Express Entry Program can you bring your family with you?

This is a question that is asked by most, and the answer is yes. If you are successful in coming to Canada then you will have the opportunity to bring your spouse, common-law partner or dependent children.

If you are married or common law then it is only required that one of you receive that invitation to apply for permanent residence. If this is the case, your spouse, common-law partner and/or dependent children will receive a Permanent Residence Visa as well.

In order for your spouse/common law partner to be eligible to come here, they must complete the following:

  • Language test- and submit their score
  • Security Background Check- all results must be given
  • Medical Exam- they will need to show proof and the results. Any dependent that also will be coming will be asked to provide proof that they have completed a medical exam.

We understand that this all can be very overwhelming and a lot to do in order to make sure that your loved ones get here as easy and as fast as possible. If this is something that you are considering for yourself, contact us and let us get a head start on it for you. Our staff is educated and experienced in this area and will be able to ensure that the application and all supporting documents are organized and put together accordingly.
