The L1 Visa is for companies that operate both in the US and abroad. If you are an individual who works for a company that operates both in the US and abroad and wishes to transfer to US location then the L1 Visa might be for you. L1 Visa is a non-immigrant visa that permits companies to transfer employees from its foreign home country office to US office for up to seven years. In order to qualify for the L1 Visa as the employee you must have worked one year out of the last three years in either the subsidiary, parent, affiliate or branch office located outside of your US company.
